Chichest is a Sydney property development firm with a track record across mid-to-high-rise apartments and mixed-use developments. Our current focus is medium-density residential — smaller in scale, higher in ambition. We are not trying to build volume; we are trying to build things that are genuinely well-conceived and properly executed. Our principals are directly involved in every project from feasibility to handover.
Before narrowing our focus, Chichest's principals were involved in mid-to-high-rise apartment developments and mixed-use projects — from eight-storey residential buildings through to twelve-storey towers and multi-tenancy commercial schemes with retail, office, and hospitality components. That hands-on development experience is not theoretical. We know how these projects are put together because we have put them together.
Our current focus is medium-density residential where design is the differentiator. We engage architects who understand restraint — who know that a well-proportioned apartment with good light and sensible circulation outperforms a flashy one with a poor floor plan. We brief for liveability and longevity, because both serve the buyer and the investor equally well over time.
Our principals have also built for DFAT, the Australian Defence Force, and the US Department of Defence — government and defence clients who hold contractors to standards most developers never encounter. That construction background is not incidental to what we do in development; it is the reason we understand programme, cost, and quality at a level that most development firms do not.
Our principals have worked across the full spectrum of property development and major construction. The portfolio spans mid-to-high-rise residential towers, mixed-use commercial and retail schemes, government embassies, defence facilities, and critical infrastructure across Australia, the Middle East, the Pacific, and West Africa. We bring that breadth of experience to every project we work on now.
